We recently helped sponsor a Rally for the Cure tennis event on behalf of the West Georgia tennis community in Douglasville, Georgia.
Val Herendeen, a long time resident of Douglasville and a very active member in the tennis community was the event coordinator. She reached out to her own team mates as well as to her students from the Power Tennis Academy for participation and support
What a great turn out! The event included silent auctions and t-shirt sales with all proceeds going to the Rally for the Cure fight against breast cancer. It was hosted at the newly renovated tennis courts at Hunter Park, part of Douglas County’s Parks and Recreation facilities.
The tournament raised a total of over $4,000.00 for Rally for the Cure with more donations still to come. Way to go West Georgia!!! We are proud to have been part of this event and in giving to such a worthy cause as Breast Cancer.
